Fostering the idea that women are merely a support for men is highly successful in the cheerleading world

Look Buckos, if you think we're going to waste our highly charged sexual engery cheering for girls, you're crazy.

There is something very wrong with this; cheerleaders are actually disgruntled at having to cheer at girls' sporting events, preferring to cheer at boys' events.

This is basically a wet dream for a patriarchal society. Young women see no problem with standing on the sidelines cheering for boys in a secondary, supportive roll; and then to top things off, vocalizing that cheering for girls' is a drag. Yikes.
